With the end of the 2020 MLB season, I wanted to be a little retrospective and analyze some of the best + offensive teams from the last decade. For pure offense, looking at the wRC+ or DRC+ is the best way to analyze the teams, but since I was unable to obtain DRC+ for each of the teams during the 2010-2020 seasons, I decided to use wRC+ for consistency and ease of usage. In order to define the teams that were the most dominant during this era, we would have to look at not only the wRC+ of the teams themselves but also how much better the leading team was compared to the team with the second-highest wRC+.
Here is a list of all the leading and second-leading teams (in terms of wRC+) from the 2010-2020 MLB season. This data also includes the percentage difference between that of first place MLB teams and the second place MLB teams (in terms of wRC+ again).

We can see in the data above that the 2019 Astros were the most dominant team during this decade if we numerically compared the wRC+ values themselves, posting a 125 wRC+ and was 6.4% better than the 2019 Yankees, which posted a very respectable wRC+ that season (117). In addition, the 2017 Astros posted the best % difference between the wRC+ values, posting a nearly 10% difference in the wRC+ values when comparing the wRC+ values of the 2017 Astros and the 2019 Yankees. Of course, the 2017 Astros was caught cheating during that season, using a camera to relay pitcher signs to the coaches who then relayed it back to the players, and could have possibly cheated during the 2019 season too. As a result, we should take the results of the Astros offense with a grain of salt, but other noteworthy mentions that I want to state include the 2015 Blue Jays and the 2012 Angels. The 2015 Blue Jays had massive firepower in terms of offense, led by AL MVP Josh Donaldson and sluggers Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion. However, the offense of the 2020 Blue Jays barely resembles any of that during the 2015 season. With guys such as Teoscar Hernandez, Vladimir Guererro Jr, and Bo Bichette forming the new core of the Blue Jays offense, it is going to take time before we see the Blue Jays back in their glory days during the 2015 season. The 2012 Angels were highlighted by superstar Mike Trout, but they also had other offensive threats such as an above-average Albert Pujols and a prime Torii Hunter. Too bad the Angels can't replicate the success that the Dodgers has since the Angels are mired in mediocrity and have not appeared in the playoffs since the 2015 season.
