Dansby Swanson emerged as one of the bigger stars for the Atlanta Braves, hitting for a 116 wRC+ and a DRC of 107+. This follows after years of a lack of offensive production from Dansby Swanson, who hit for a 92 wRC+ and an 80 wRC+ in the 2019 and the 2018 season respectively. His WAR was only improved by 0.4 points (but considering the shortened season that MLB had, Dansby Swanson's WAR so far this season was phenomenal as he tied for 12th in WAR among all qualified players (according to Fangraphs). Of course, being selected 1st in the 2015 MLB draft, Dansby Swanson could still find room for improvement, especially against his performance against breaking pitches. According to Statcast, Dansby Swanson has an xwOBA of .227 against breaking pitches, a decrease from his xwOBA from the 2019 season (which was 0.302). I think that Dansby Swanson had the benefit of the shortened season because more likely or not, pitchers were going to exploit his weakness in breaking pitches more and more. As a result, we would most likely see a decline in production from Dansby Swanson offensively to a DRC+ and a wRC+ below what he had in previous seasons.

I apologize for my late posts, but I will really try to stay consistent this time around. I have school to deal with and the hefty load of work is making time for this kind of small. But I promise that I will try to make more consistent posts (like one every day or two days)
